Senior Financial Analyst - 00HZA

The Senior Financial Analyst works directly with the Area Director of Finance/Assistant Area Director of Finance in the review, preparation, and consolidation of annual forecast and outlooks for assigned practice(s). Responsibilities include variance analysis, financial reporting on revenue, expenses and profitability. This individual will also assist in inventory management and control, should possess leadership skills, and may work closely with Financial Management Associate leadership as well as Financial Management Associates in the performance of their role. Responsibilities Prepare, review and consolidate annual budgets and outlooks. Prioritize tasks to accomplish firm goals and objectives. Implement/participate in driving key Area and firm initiatives that involve process or procedural change for the organization. Produce ad hoc reports to help monitor key performance measures for the practice. Communicate issues to the Assistant Area Director of Finance and Area Director of Finance. Assist in the education of client-serving individuals. Maintain high employee morale that includes encouragement of teamwork and building strong internal and external client relationships. Create and implement best practices for process improvement. Assist in the month-end P&L close. Assist with the preparation and analysis of confidential information. May oversee daily accounting and reporting functions that take place within the organization. Perform other duties, as required. Provide basic training and soft skills for finance staff. Be the primary contact for client service personnel in resolving problems or issues for assigned practices. To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration; or equivalent work experience6+ years of experience in a professional atmosphere in a finance/business capacity with at least 3 years of supervisory, forecasting and budgeting experiencefinancial management, financial analyst and/or financial assistant experience a plusthe ability to work well under deadlines with excellent attention to detailstrong time management and organizational skillsthe ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and effectivelythe ability to gain the respect of both the finance community and client-serving teamsgood leadership, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skillsstrong written and oral communication skillsthe ability to effectively listen and teach new skills to othersthe ability to work with individuals at all levels within an organizationa good aptitude for dealing with complex systems issuesa quality improvement-oriented approachexcellent software skills, including MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and Lotus Notes CA-Los Angeles
