Senior Merchandise Buyer / Manager

A quality leader in incentive marketing has an immediate opening for a bright, experienced, and enthusiastic person to join our Customer Service team as a Senior Merchandise Buyer / Manager and team leader.

 

Key responsibilities: 

 

* On-going analysis of merchandise selections and mix

* Coaching and training of existing merchandise team

* Negotiations with vendors

* Maintenance and broadening of reports on such issues as costs and profits

* On-going analysis of trends in the premium marketplace

* Proposal development, as needed, for ad hoc projects

* Oversight of day-to-day operations in Customer Service and Merchandise

 

 

The right person for this position will have management experience (2-4 years minimum), at least 4 years merchandise buying or sourcing experience, industry and trend knowledge, and strong communication skills.

 

Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access is needed. Ability to work in a team environment as a leader is crucial. Must have a proactive approach to business. College degree preferred.
