The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of the corporate WAN/LAN infrastructure. Extensive Cisco Firewall, Router, and Multilayer Switch experience is essential. Candidate should be well versed in BGP, OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols. Experience with LAN to LAN and Client based VPN design required. Must be familiar with high availability network design and configuration.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience. CCNP or CCIE preferred. Must have 5+ years experience with Cisco design. Must have excellent inter-personal and communication skills; plus be capable of explaining complex procedures in writing or verbally. Must show strong technical leadership and provide guidance for associate engineers. Must have the ability to perform design analysis, utilizing MTBF and MTTR data and be capable of utilizing protocol analyzer to assist in resolving physical, data link, network, transport, session, presentation, and application problems. Proficiency with core-access-distribution design model and appropriate variations of model based on infrastructure demands is required. The ideal candidate must be security minded and have experience in firewall and IDS design and implementation. Proficiency with structured wiring and cable management best practices plus strong documentation and project management skills are required.
