Farheap Solutions, a technology based company with successful business operations in internet technologies, printing, and graphic design, seeks a dynamic, entrepreneurial-minded Senior Project Manager / PMO Manager who can manage software development projects while building out the Project Management Office. Reporting to the development division’s General Manager, this key role will apply an exceptional ability to multi-task efficiently and manage several high-visibility and high value software projects across multiple divisions of the company, with responsibility for their success from beginning to end. The PMO / Project Manager will apply effective leadership to lead a distributed team of Business Analysts, Programmers, QA Analysts, Testers and IT specialists in the successful completion of projects. This position will also simultaneously form and grow a Project Management organization, with the ambition of turning it into a Center of HighTechnology Project Management Excellence.

Specific duties and responsibilities of this position include:

· Prepare and execute project plans.

· Track and report progress.

· Identify risks and develop and coordinate risk mitigation activities.

· Communicate with customers and project stakeholders.

· Assign tasks, optimize resource utilization, and identify resource needs.

· Use Project Management tools and techniques to maximize efficiency of the team and value to the company.

· Mentor team members, encourage and amplify learning, professionalism, best practices.







REQUIREMENTS:

MUST have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering or relevant discipline. PMP certification is strongly preferred.

MUST have 8 years of progressive, stable Project Management experience, at least 3 years of which are in a senior role in a software development or professional services PMO. Big 5 consulting firm experience is a desirable plus.

MUST have a proven track record of successfully leading multiple complex, enterprise-level software projects through the full SDLC to on time, within budget delivery to the customer.

MUST demonstrate expert knowledge of Project Management best practices and techniques.

MUST have exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate efficiently and build rapport with developers as well as with C-level executives.

MUST have an analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.

MUST be familiar with most, and have expert-level knowledge and practical experience with at least one of the popular Software Development and Management methodologies including Unified Process, waterfall, and agile: Scrum and XP. Formal training and/or certification strongly preferred.

MUST have proven team building and leadership skills and successful track record “leading by example”.

MUST be an expert-level user of office productivity tools (i.e. Open Office, Microsoft Office) and specific Project Management tools (i.e. Microsoft Project)

Experience working with remote and multi-cultural teams is a plus.

OUR HISTORY

Farheap recognized a tremendous need for a better solution to manage documents and information within state and county courts. We developed an easy to use court case management software package that allows court clerks to keep up with proceedings in real time.

Our next major business success was the development of a website for the printing industry that is extremely fast in its order, print, and delivery systems.

Along the way Farheap acquired a talented pool of designers and in 2004 decided to launch an externally facing design group. The success of our first design business lead to the formation of a second unit in 2006.
