TEAM OVERVIEWAmericas Q&RM assists Americas Area leadership in identifying, addressing and monitoring issues pertaining to the quality of our services and the business risks facing our Firm. The QRG is a group within Q&RM that focuses on identifying and deploying solutions that will better enable the people of Ernst & Young to: - Continue delivering high-quality services to the right clients, and - Participate directly in the Firm's risk management activities. POSITION DESCRIPTIONWe seek a creative, energetic and organized self starter who can: - Support our project leaders as they scan the Firm's business environment to identify potential issues that: - May impact the quality of our services, - Interfere with the Firm's ability to manage its risks, and/or - Create opportunities for the Firm to address the above more effectively. - Interact effectively with senior Firm leadership to articulate the above issues and propose potential solutions thereto. - Research potential solutions and then help design and deliver projects that successfully address the issues identified. - Properly prioritize and manage multiple assignments concurrently. - Contribute to the ongoing continuous improvement of the QRG's effectiveness.The successful candidate will have: - A minimum of a Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or business with at least two years of experience in auditing, tax consulting, or advisory/consulting services. - Demonstrated project management/organizational skills, including: experience in a demanding, multitasking environment; strong attention to detail; track record of driving assignments to completion. - Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mentality. - Strong familiarity with business technology, including Microsoft Office products, Lotus Notes databases, and web-based applications. - A proven ability to work independently but within a team environment. - Exceptional communications skills, including the ability to prepare insightful presentations and interact effectively with all levels of personnel. - Prior quality/risk management background is a plus. - Previous experience in Big 4 or Big 4-like work environment is a plus. - Prior client service experience delivering advisory/consulting services is a plus. * The Senior title would apply to candidates, likely sourced internally, who accept this position on a rotational basis and expect to return to full-time external client service. The Supervising Associate title would apply to candidates who anticipate a future career path that does not include external client service.NY-New York
