Senior Software Developer/Architect

The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is currently offering an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Software Developer/Architect position in the Johns Creek, Duluth area. 

 

The qualified candidate must possess exceptional software development skills and should have extensive experience in SLDC, including software systems design, documentation, programming and implementation. The candidate should possess and demonstrate excellent systems analytical skills. The candidate must possess strong communications and interpersonal skills that supports cross organizational teams during project lifecycles.

 

The Senior Software Developer/Architect responsibilities include:

 Design and lead the development of, the next generation of business process enterprise software Leverage his/her knowledge of object oriented, web-based development and advanced modeling techniques to implement scalable, multi-tiered applications Design and implement enhancements to existing NCCPA applications according to customer requirements Collaborates with cross functional teams to analyze customer requirements and create technical specifications and/or design documents for new applications Create technical documentation for internal and external clients that accurately describe the configuration of technology utilized to implement a development solution Create estimates of development tasks to be used for project scheduling  Analyze and troubleshoot existing program code to isolate and correct errors Develops enterprise level applications in Microsoft.NET, ASP.NET and Visual Basic MS SQL Server Solves complex, analytical problems  Understands the use of industry tools and technology and how their implementation affects project goals

Required Qualifications: 12+ years of experience in the development and implementation of client/server & web based applications 6+ years of experience as a software architect leveraging the methodologies of software systems analysis, design, testing, and technical documentation Advanced knowledge of  database design, writing SQL queries, triggers and stored procedures on MS SQL Server Advanced programming experience on the Microsoft platform (VB.Net and ASP.NET) Demonstrated background converting business requirements to technical designs for software development and implementation Demonstrated background in reverse engineering of technical systems architecture from legacy software platforms Deadline driven accountability Excellent communication and management skills
