Senior Technical Writer

nSight is seeking an outstanding senior technical writer to support the management team for one of our premier clients, a global Fortune 500 company. We need someone who can quickly grasp the issues involved in implementing a new online help system. You should enjoy the challenge of helping to define a project and have the ability to analyze, structure, write and publish content for both new and existing documentation.

 

Our ideal candidate has experience writing for an information technology/developer audience. You will have had direct responsibility for leading and scoping projects, managing a documentation team, preparing schedules, reporting progress, and interviewing subject matter experts. Please be able to discuss your record of accomplishment with improving the quality of content, providing insight regarding usability, and creating and troubleshooting with publishing tools.

 

You should have MadCap Flare or RoboHelp/WebWorks experience. Experience should also include working in and designing templates in Framemaker and converting files from Word. You must understand extremely technical materials and specifications details. A strong understanding of the development process (at the technical level) and programming languages will be key to your success. Experience working on SDKs and APIs would be helpful.
