Service Tech

The Field Service Technician reports to the Director of Service and is responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of Quench systems in our customer locations. In addition, the tech is to effectively communicate with our internal and external customers and represent Quench in a professional manner at all times.

 

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

·  Achieve production levels required for assigned workload.

·  Demonstrate excellent customer relation skills.

·  Become proficient with technical challenges of systems.

 

Demonstrate Technical Expertise

·  Perform EM/PM calls on water purification systems when necessary. EM =Emergency Maintenance. PM =Preventative Maintenance.

·  Install sold and trial units as necessary.

·  Must be able to operate  necessary lifts.

·  Work neatly and effectively to complete the work.

·  Successful completion of Quench University.

 

Customer Service 

·  Exhibit professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

·  Effectively communicate with customers to ensure customer satisfaction with Quench and the service provided.

·  Maintain a productive, professional relationship with all Quench employees.

 

Personal Management

·  Complete assigned work daily.

·  Double check your work to ensure system is operating and no leaks are present.

·  Fully and legibly complete all required paperwork and reports on time.

 

Financial Responsibility

·  Maintain “van stock” inventory.

·  Use proper judgment, along with the pre-established policies and procedures, when repairing systems.

·  Avoid misuse of time and parts to ensure company health and profitability.

 

Skills and Abilities Required/Desired

·  Strong verbal communication skills.

·  Excellent customer service skills.

·  Must have a driver’s license with a clean record.

·  Must display a Positive Attitude at all times.

·  A personal desire to do a great job everyday.

·  Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

·  Must be able to stoop, lift, bend, squat and kneel in order to service units.

 

Work Days/Pay

·  8 hour days, Hours to be determined by Director of Service, with a 30 minute lunch.

·  Working over 40 hours a week will be considered OT, paid at time and a half.

·  OT will be pre-approved by immediate manager.

·  Pay is for work hours only. We will not pay for driving to and from work.

 Working Conditions

·  Neat, clean uniform and steel toe shoes (allowance every 2 years) will be worn at all times.

·  In most cases, daily travel in a company provided van to customer locations.

·  8-hour workdays are expected but you may be required to work OT and/or be on call.

·  Keep warehouse clean and organized at all times.

 

Standards for Measuring Performance

·  Productivity, Call Backs, etc.

·  Number of errors detected from field inspections by manager and paperwork errors.

·  Positive/negative feedback from customers.

·  Ability to turn in sales leads.

·  Punctuality.
