Responsible for data analysis, research, and ad hoc software development within the Measurement Science Department for the Nielsen In-Store product; identification and recommendation of process improvements; conducting and delivering special analyses or projects.Qualifications"BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar field"Two or more years of practical experience, or Master's Degree"Demonstrated programming and data analysis skills utilizing SAS, C, Perl, awk, or similar languages with UNIX utilities/scripting"UNIX operating system familiarity/experience"Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint"Sound Computer skills (SAS, SPSS)"Strong oral, written and communication skillsA qualified candidate should have demonstrated programming and data analysis skills on large data sets utilizing SAS, C, Perl, awk, or similar language. UNIX experience/proficiency is a plus. Candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as possess strong oral, written and communication skills. Candidate should have proven problem solving skills (deductive reasoning, able to see hierarchical relationships, logical thinking), as well as proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
