Software Sales & Marketing Manager
Job Description:
Accomplishes business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans of software products and services; implementing sales plans AND managing staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Market AnalysisMaintain vigilance over the target markets - dynamics, drivers, influencers and competitors. Gather industry expert opinion and analyze quantitative and qualitative market dataWork with product management and engineering to identify market problems and/or unmet needsIdentify competitive offerings in the market. Review their position, messaging and success. Assess strengths and weaknesses. Evaluate the importance of key product features, benefits, etc.Size the market/market segments and map to sales opportunity to determine which segments to proactively pursueEvaluate market share and performance in the market through customer satisfaction indicesWin/loss analysis – survey new customers and follow up on lost opportunities as appropriateMarketing Plan and ExecutionDevelop, execute, and measure marketing and business development strategies, programs and campaigns according to corporate and product-specific business objectives.Create marketing plan that identifies quantifiable marketing goals and measurable resultsCreate marketing strategies and advertising plans for different annual events including the trade shows and industrial exhibitionsSales ReadinessDevelop targeted sales collateral and sales tools (papers, case studies, customer stories, etc.) using the customer centric selling model, as appropriateCreate sales proposals, presentations, webinars and scripts using the customer centric selling model, as appropriateProvide guidance (documentation, facts, stats, etc.) on selling/positioning against competitors in different markets.Customer Relationship ManagementMaintain a clear understanding of customer’s business needs and formulate internal strategy for meeting these needs through product upgrades, expansions, enhancements, add-on sales, etcParticipate in proposal activities to ensure that customer needs are understood and addressed from both a customer and company perspective, and to ensure mutual understanding and acceptance of end result.Responsible for resolution and closure of open customer issues [software defects, change requests, operational or procedural issues, training issues, etc.]. Includes open issue definition, working with customer to ensure mutual agreement on same, and ensure open issues definitions are concise and clear such that engineering and support team has adequate information to resolve the issue(s).Ensures proper reporting procedures are followed internally and to customer requirements. Provide regular and appropriate status to senior management and customer regarding customer satisfaction, on-going system operations, open issues (including definition, communication, resolution, and closing), and support/maintenance. Escalate critical issues to Senior Management as required.Corporate Web Site and E-Marketing StrategiesOrganize and facilitate the creation and modification of content which includes electronic documents and web contentConduct and facilitate web based marketing research and advertising

Ideal candidate shall have following skills and qualifications (combined with above mentioned general areas of expertise):
Experience of selling supply chain, inventory management and customer management software is a big plusBachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related field3-4 years of experience in software or technology marketingAbility to develop and execute corporate sales and marketing strategiesAbility to source and analyze market dataAbility to develop and maintain strong business relationships with customersComputer savvy and experience of using different software tools including MS OfficeStrong analytical, conflict resolution and influencing skillsExcellent communicator with highly developed verbal and written skillsSelf-motivated, proactive and independent worker
