Sourcing Specialist (Indirect Buyer)

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This position is responsible for negotiating final contracts with suppliers and issuing purchase orders with favorable commercial terms for FirstEnergy. 

Some additional responsibilities include:

§  Negotiation of material and service contracts in support of Corporate Shared Services group utilizing strategic concepts. 

§  Ability to establish strong relationships with Business Units at high levels of the organization

§  Responsible for timely collection and analysis of marketplace research data to enable FE to gain and sustain a competitive edge in the industry. 

§  Builds and lead commodity teams. 

§  Challenge traditional approaches with creative, viable options to lower total cost of operations and improve customer service. 

QUALIFICATIONS

§  Track record of delivered results

§  Effective negotiating skills

§  Effective decision making skills

§  Effective team builder and leader

§  Effective communication skills, including the ability to  persuasively present information both in writing and verbally

§  Has at a minimum a 4 year degree in Supply Chain, Business or related discipline and contract or negotiating experience

§   Knowledge of Microsoft office products

§  Experience with SAP, electronic RFP tools and dynamic auction tools a plus
