IDC’s East Coast Sector Accounts team is seeking a Senior Account Executive who will focus on selling IDC’s research products to prospects and existing accounts. This position will report to the Sales Manager, Sector East Accounts.
The Sr. Account Executive will be responsible for generating revenue in both renewal and new sales of syndicated services, custom publishing solutions, and market strategy consulting solutions opportunities to Sector vendor prospects and existing accounts, in the Eastern Region. As a member of a collaborative team, the Sr. Account Executive will be responsible for developing an in-depth knowledge of IDC products and services, as well as building strong relationships with individuals across IDC. The individual will prospect for incremental opportunities, follow up on proposal generation, respond to client requests for information and/or problems, and continue to enhance the client value proposition. This is a quota carrying position.
Requirements for the position include 5-7 years of sales experience, along with strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills. Strong telephone cold calling experience preferred. Prior experience selling an intangible product or service is a plus. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing existing accounts and developing high level relationships. Additionally, this person will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, and collaborative, as well as be a self-starter and a quick-thinker. This position requires strong time management and organization skills. Prior market research industry sales experience is helpful, but not required. This position is based out of IDC’s Framingham office and will require approximately 20-25%% travel.
