Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning

Our client, located in Washington DC, is looking for a Senior Analyst, responsible form Financial Planning. The candidate will provide financial, analytical, and budgetary support, as well as developing and maintaining numerous spreadsheets and other data sources used in financial forecasting, operational planning, etc.  Provides support to management in a variety of analytical task assignments.

 

Tasks:Develops financial analyses, forecasts, and builds financial models based on economic indicators and prepares action recommendations, where appropriate.Develops spreadsheets used by management in operational planning and updates with new data as it becomes available.Coordinates, monitors, and reconciles financial programs/reports.Resolves accounting and budgetary issues within Finance and other Association organizational units, as designated.Functions as a resource to management in matters of financial planning, budgeting, cost/revenue analyses, and assists other staff in establishing and utilizing various reporting systems.Provides support to management by performing various tasks such as workflow and space utilization studies, software/hardware assessments, disaster recovery plans, etc., as well as participating in the installation of new programs and processes which improve efficiency and/or cost effectiveness.Demonstrates WORLD CLASS cultural attributes and behaviors in all interactions.

 

Qualifications:

Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (an advanced degree in Finance or MBA preferred), CPA certification (or related certification), and 5-7 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience related to the duties of the position.
