Sr. Business Applications Analyst

The Sr. Business Applications Analyst will be working closely with users and technical staff to support our existing PeopleSoft environment and to roll out future enhancements, modules and functions. The analyst will play a role in production support, ad-hoc query, reporting, configuration and the management of smaller projects and initiatives.

Knowledge, experience, skill, and/or ability

Required
• Minimum 6 years of PeopleSoft or ERP systems experience, particularly PeopleSoft Financials (GL, AM, PO, AM, Projects) Version 8.0 or greater running on SQL Server/Microsoft environment
• Functional analyst should also have technical skills (roughly 80/20 function-to-technical).
• Thorough understanding of software development life cycles, development processes, and quality assurance roles within a project
• Ability to manage multiple projects in changing environment and work under tight deadlines
• Creative problem solving skills. Ability to think “out of the box” and apply nontraditional solutions to challenging issues
• Manage internal customer relationships and set expectations, while managing risk and scope creep.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.; as well as read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Experience creating and documenting work processes and procedures.

Preferred
• Experience with HRMS ERP and/or experience with web-based employee self-service
• Human Resources experience

Required computer skills
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• PeopleSoft

Education/experience/certifications
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from accredited institution and eight plus years relevant experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
