Currently, Genesys has an opportunity for a Sr. Program Manager to join our Business Operations team with in the USA-Release Management Organization.***Candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area are highly preferred***The Sr. Release Program Manager is responsible for managing various cross-functional activities for a number of products in a Genesys given release. This includes demonstrating a sense of urgency and ownership driving to successful completion in a collaborative environment. Join the Genesys Corporate Release Management team and become part of a dynamic, growing team that will position oneself well for career growth and future opportunities Responsibilities: Maintain excellent communication channels with all Genesys departments and stakeholder organizations Ability to lead cross-functional teams and to leverage virtual teams to achieve results and build sponsorship across multiple organizations Lead the planning and direction of various daily Release Management activities including Release Management, Validation Management, Readiness Management Drive an integrated approach for Release Management activities with various cross-functional departments Work with senior management to drive Release level change and continuous improvements while remaining aligned with the company's vision, goals, business operations, and markets. Educate and provide thought leadership the use of industry best practice methodologies in Release Management activities.
Professional Experience:BS/BA or equivalent required 4+ years of increasing responsibility in project management or program management of software product delivery including the successful implementation of software release and delivery methodologies 4+ years experience managing release programs, validation programs, and/or readiness programs Product release ramp-up or product launch experience helpful Required Skills: Vision and experience to solve complex problems and lead cross-functional teams based on personal experience, technical knowledge, and business acumen Ability to foster the professional development of others through coaching and feedback on results, willingly able to share personal knowledge and experience Knowledge of the entire release life cycle including concept, development, implementation, test, and large-scale delivery, readiness, and launch Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, articulate risks, and drive solutions to mitigate potential delays or cost overruns associated with release schedules Superior communication skills (oral and written) as demonstrated through contributions to publications and presentations; able to engender trust and respect of peers, subordinates and superiors Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of non-technical internal clients Strategic thinker who routinely contributes beyond the stated lines of accountability; maintains a sound market orientation based in part on routine communication with internal/external functional leaders and customers Self-confident, possesses a strong work ethic, and is continually focused on improvement, innovation, and bottom-line results Performs as a dedicated team player and motivator, capable of operating effectively with a minimum of direction, and enjoys significant operational interaction with all levels within the organization Capable of juggling a number of priorities and delivering results on time in a high pressure
