A notable number of our top executives began their careers with Staples.  Effectively use prior training experiences and knowledge of the environment, culture, industry and resources to influence the optimum training solution and gain commitment from Financial Services management and internal business partners. Create comprehensive project plans, proposals or design documents, proactively anticipate potential obstacles and meet time frames for all deliverables. Design, develop and implement technical skills training programs using appropriate methodologies for all Shared Services functions.  Deliver management development training, when feasible, and partner closely with Staples University (SU) for new program development and redesign. Create associate training program materials including: project plans, outlines, leader guides, participant’s guides, media, evaluations and tests. Continually evaluate and improve training curriculum through regular revisions. Design and deliver functional skill and procedural based training programs, to participants within the Shared Services Center.  Create program materials, including design documents, project plans, leader’s guide, participant guides, media, and evaluations as well as conduct needs assessments and course evaluations.  Partner closely with corporate SU Training & Development team to leverage design disciplines, branding standards and content authoring tools such as Lectora and Captivate.  Master complex subject matter for a variety of highly visible initiatives that are of significant risk to the company.  Maintain proficiency in the systems and procedures underlying the training program in the Shared Services Center. Deliver new hire orientation and when available deliver new associate and management development training leveraging training design from SU.  Source and work directly with external vendors to coordinate associate training such as MS Office. Make real-time decisions with managers and other Staples associates to adapt actual training delivery and implementation to varied situations as needed. Serve as Project Leader in the implementation of specific programs.  Communicate directly with key operational stakeholders to set implementation strategy.  Work directly with diverse operational units to gain specific, current knowledge of the business unit in order to serve as a credible training resource.  Develop and administer tools to measure effectiveness of training programs.  Make recommendations based on these measurements to address and minimize risks and ensure program integrity. Establish yearly training plan.  Coordinate training facility logistics including: site preparation, equipment, supplies, and installation of software.  Maintain a system for scheduling, registration and evaluation for all training events.  Communicate all training events and resources to managers and associates as necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required Adult Learning Certificate/License required Minimum five plus- (5+) years experience in training field, including sounds knowledge of adult learning principals, instructional design, facilitation, and methods of evaluation.
