Title: Government Staff Accountant Location: McLean, VARelocation: NoTravel: Minimal for trainings & meetingsResponsibilities: This person will support historical and current Forward Pricing Rate Proposals (FPRP) preparation and audits with various tasks to include learning and understanding how historical Incurred Cost Submissions and FPRP were prepared using Microsoft Access. This is a newly available position within Bearing Points Corporate Government Finance and Compliance Team.Basic Qualifications: At least 2+ years work experience in a government contracting environment within a large corporation. At least 2+ years of experience working within an accounting & finance department. Bachelors Degree in Accounting or 2 years relevant work experience. At least 3 years experience working with Microsoft Access and Excel. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of FAR and CAS. Experience with Access and Excel. At least 2+ years work experience in a Corporate Accounting in a government contracting environment; inclusive of DCAA Liaison environment within a large corporation.o General Ledgero Cost Accounting/Financial Reportingo Indirect Rate Structure Ability to understand complex databases and modify as needed; Deltek a plus. Outstanding leadership, negotiation and communication skills in addition to project management and implementation skills. Ability to establish influential partnerships at assigned levels.
