Job Description

 

 

POSITION TITLE:  Staffing Specialist



 

BASIC PURPOSE:

 

The Staffing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, qualifying and integrating multiple candidates onto the Excellence In Motivation team at any given time.  Also accountable for developing and maintaining recruiting source relationships that ensure a constant stream of candidates for the types of pre-approved positions placed through our organization.  This person may also support and participate in other areas within HR, such as; training, development, benefits, etc. as needed.   

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

·  Develop and maintain cost effective, high quality and high yield channels for sourcing new candidates; including recommendations on new internet and sourcing channel usage and submit to HR management for approval.

·  Meet with members of management in each department and shadow in various departments to learn more about positions being hired and to better understand job needs.

·  Develop and maintain job descriptions and assist in updating and maintaining current market value information for all positions within the organization.

·  Screen resumes submitted via various recruiting sources and take appropriate action, such as, forwarding on resumes to the appropriate hiring managers for review, etc.

·  Conduct first qualifying interview and recommend if hiring manager should also interview.

·  Ensure that job openings are properly approved and posted on various EIM approved intranet/internet sites

·  Accurately document/maintain interview notes and candidate evaluations

·  Make recommendations on new or improved candidate evaluation tools and implement as appropriate

·  Attend job fairs and establish external recruiting contacts for networking purposes

·  Act as a team player and communicate effectively with internal staff inside and outside the department

·  Create compelling marketing statements and pitch information to be used when speaking with potential candidates regarding openings

·  Track weekly activities and attend weekly HR meetings to report activity.

·  Monitor and keep departmental management apprised of market trends and economic changes that impact recruiting efforts

·  Conduct in-processing and new hire orientation sessions when needed and update the new hire orientation process

·  Work accurately and reliably with a positive attitude

·  Must maintain highest level of confidentiality at all times

·  Assist in other HR related functions as needed within the department

 

 





Education and Training:

 Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required3+ years experience in Staffing/Recruiting or in a Human Resource Generalist Role with heavy emphasis on Staffing/Recruiting Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint requiredPrior IT recruiting experience preferredPrior experience with ADP products preferredPHR/SPHR preferred

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

 

·  Have proven expertise in sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates 

·  Proven prior experience working across all lines of management within the organization. Good communication skills and ability to exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas, reports facts and other informationAbility to manage multiple priorities, complicated procedures and numerous tasks accurately when working with details, during daily workflow with minimal supervisionAbility to work in a dynamic, fast paced working environment Ability to meet attendance standards and work overtime hoursAbility to work independently and as a team playerAbility to make decisions using sound judgmentAbility to travel as needed

 

We are looking for a full-time candidate, but may consider part-time candidates, depending on schedule desired. If interested in part-time, please answer the following questions; Number of hours per week available Number of days per week available, and which days Flexibility of schedule, based on company demands If part-time, would you still be able to travel as needed? Ability to move to full-time at a later date, should company demands change
