Statistical Programming Analyst

The purpose of this position is to provide statistical analysis programming (in SAS) and data interpretation. The Statistical Programming/Analyst will have the opportunity to design complex research and statistical studies from development to completion - to include hypothesis development, sampling, collection, maintenance and compilation of data, forms development, statistical analysis and presentation. Other responsibilities include: *Responding to ad-hoc requests from internal and external customers. *Generate standard reports for internal customers. *Prepare charts, illustrations, other graphics and narrative reports to identify and explain utilization patterns and trends.  Education: *BA/BS in Statistics, Biostatistics or a related field with at least 9 semester hours in statistical courses. Masters degree is a plus. Knowledge/Skills: *Practical experience with data analysis and interpretation. *Statistical analysis computer programming with SAS. *Work experience with UNIX, ACCESS, DB2, Oracle and SQL. *GIS/ArcView desired. *Knowledge of Statistical principles and practices. *Experience with database management. *Excellent analytical and organizational skills. *Excellent written and verbal communication in English. *Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software. *Ability to adapt to change and multi-task.  Due to the volume of resumes received, we will only contact candidates selected for further consideration.
