Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Strategic Sourcing Manager - Technology   Reporting to the Monster VP Global Procurement, the Strategic Sourcing Manager will determine, drive and implement Technology based e-sourcing and purchasing activities based upon the global procurement strategy and technology roadmap derived from the pro-active analysis of expenditure and of various reports and business data, plus managing the reactive needs of the business.   They will manage preferred vendors and commodities on a regional / global basis to ensure that the purchases of goods and/or services are purchased at the best value consistent with quality products, services and timely delivery.   The position is a critical team member managing multi-million dollar purchases of goods and services through an expansive supplier base across the globe.   Essential Job Functions: Demonstrating significant experience in the procurement of all aspects of Technology (ie software, hardware, services, maintenance, telecoms) Understand the local country, regional, global or functional procurement needs, expenditure, cultural challenges, economic conditions and trends Determine more effective spend opportunities regionally/globally to achieve improved economies of scale by leveraging expenditure, analyzing spend and benchmarking, driving RFx and other purchasing activities Form alliances with key stakeholders and advise how Procurement can positively affect their budget and P&L, while educating on P2P processes and world class practices Instrumental in setting and communicating commodity standards for goods and / or services. Manage e-catalog content, and creating initiatives to ensure smart and fast purchasing Create and maintain a wide network of senior-level contacts, best in class vendors and providers for all technology related products Manage vendor base, performance and contract compliance, ensuring highest levels of service at all times; and conduct business reviews as appropriate, whilst addressing issues and challenges Self starter yet able to work in a team environment, with excellent research and problem solving skills, showing proven ability to work from conceptual and practical perspectives   Qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualification preferred Related Professional Society memberships / qualifications ie CPM / CPIM 10+ years previous Purchasing experience within a Technology environment Demonstrable success over the last 3 years with Technology vendors Strong working knowledge of Procurement World Class practices Extensive knowledge of Technology related goods and services procured on a global basis, including a wide network of senior level contacts within major technology providers. Advanced computer skills, excellent working knowledge and practical experience of Spend Cube Management, e-RFx solutions, strategic sourcing and supplier assessment / performance management.
