POSITION SUMMARY:The Supervisor oversees, directs, plans and coordinates the activities of first line-associates and maintains the efficient flow of operations for an assigned unit. May perform first-line associate duties up to a maximum of 20 percent of the time. Incumbent is familiar with a variety of the concepts, practices and procedures, and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Work is performed within defined areas of regulations and procedures, and is reviewed and monitored by a manager; however some discretion is required within established parameters. MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:·High School Graduate or GED Equivalent. College helpful.·Ability to direct, plan and coordinate the work of others ·Excellent communication skills – speaking, listening and written ·Ability to multi-task·Strong knowledge of the collection industry or ability to learn parameters in short learning curve ·Knowledge of Compliance RegulationsESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following:·Plan daily, weekly and monthly activities to reach objectives set with Manager.·Knows keeps and work-ons of each first-line worker in area of responsibility. Coaches and counsels associates for growth and development. Improves efficiency of subordinates to maximize unit performance. Takes action when performance is inadequate. Dismisses first-line worker when no other alternative exists.·Establishes environment to maintain harmony among workers and resolves complaints.·Assigns duties to staff. ·Monitors first-line associates to ensure functional area maintains high performance. Monitors ACD activity.·Examines work for exactness, neatness, conforming to policies and for meeting of unit goals.·Reviews processes for accuracy of information and compliance to OSI standards and required regulations.·Prepares composite reports or individual reports of subordinates’ performance.·Interviews and evaluates candidates for first-line positions. Makes job offers.·Often acts as the liaison between staff and the professional and managerial staff in the company.·Budgetary responsibility is limited or very structured.·Leads and actively participates in staff meetings.·Maintains confidentiality sharing appropriate information downward and upward. ·Manages associate conflict to win-win resolutions. ·Completes performance reviews, growth and development plans, and corrective actions on timely, consistent and equitable manner.·Serves as a role model. Adheres to company policies and procedures, demonstrates OSI behaviors, values and basic principles at all times, participates in conference calls and ad hoc activities as required, demonstrates a sense of urgency in dealing with associates, clients, internal and external customers. ·Protect company proprietary and confidential information in accordance with OSI Confidentiality policy and Corporate Information Security Policies and Procedures.·Other duties as assigned.This description is not intended as a complete list of specific duties and responsibilities.
