Systems Programmer / File-Utility Developer

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the corporate servers, networks, phone systems, desktop PCs and applications. This position requires a broad range of system and network skills including but not limited to the Windows OS, Exchange, Citrix, Cisco IOS, and MS Office applications.

Job Description:

The appropriate candidate should be proficient in .NET Windows and Web application development, utility, extension and web service development as well as MS SQL 2005 and MSAccess data access. This position will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining Web and Windows interfaces to our TriZetto Facets claims processing system.  Additional duties will include developing/maintaining other .Net, SQL2005, MSAccess, Windows and Web healthcare automation applications, file encryption/processing, reporting, and interfacing with internal and external applications.

 

Job requirements:Develop/maintain utilities and file feeds/interfaces to/from our core Facets system, as needed.Design, develop, implement and maintain programs in multiple environments, as required.Perform and define procedures and methods for improving current process speeds and accuracy, reviewing long-running processes periodically for improvement opportunities.  Review manual business processes for automation opportunities.Provide leadership and training to ensure the most effective use of the programming tools.

 

Qualifications/Experience:Strong working experience (4+ years) in Windows and Web programming (MS) and .NET technologies and methodologies.  New development will be Microsoft-based.Working knowledge utilizing Web Services, APIs and building extensions to proprietary systems, especially TriZetto Facets.Preference given to previous experience (2+ years) with and knowledge of Managed Care industry data requirements, especially EDI/HIPAA transaction processing.Proven ability in automation of key business functions and transactions. Working knowledge of SQL and Reporting tools.  Sharepoint development knowledge a plus.Excellent PC skills, including MS Access, Excel, and advanced query writing. Strong communication skills, both orally and written. Ability to write reports, technical specs, procedures and correspondence. Ability to interact with healthcare providers and related third parties.Related-field Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
