Technical Analyst
Technical Analyst
POSITION INFORMATION:
Uses diverse technological background and experience for solving problems and for working on a broad range of public health, health information exchange, and information technology projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Works collaboratively and proactively with client program and technical staff
· Designs solutions for core applications and interfacing systems
· Prioritizes all project activities
· Writes functional/technical specifications
· Writes functional test plans
· Creates user interface mockups
· Supports management reporting and other administrative needs
· Works with vendor representatives and other internal teams on projects and support issues
· Responds directly to clients regarding routine requests in a timely manner
· Mentors less senior Technical Analysts
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, in Public Health, Health Care Management, Computer Sciences, Business or related field and a minimum of three years progressively responsible work experience. Graduate education in a related field may be substituted for up to two years of related experience. In addition to these requirements the successful applicant must:Have strong communication skills Have strong people management skills Have strong execution and project delivery skills Have the ability to work on fast-paced, demanding projects And demonstrated experience in at least one of the following:Database modeling and programmingObject oriented design and programmingWeb design, HTML/CSS/JavascriptNetworking Infrastructure and Server ManagementApplication Development Lifecycle
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates meeting the minimum requirements above and possessing some or all of the experiences below will be given preference:Experience working in a distributed and remote team environment

· Excellent command of written and spoken EnglishSUPERVISORY CONTROLS
This position reports to the Director of Consulting Services. The supervisor defines assignment objectives, priorities, and deadlines. The project manager independently plans and carries out assignments, and resolves problems in accordance with accepted practices. Completed work is reviewed for technical soundness, appropriateness, and conformance with policy and objectives.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work requires no special physical demands. It may involve some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items.
WORK ENVIROMNENT
The work is performed in an office setting. Positions are currently available in the Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Sacramento, Atlanta, Phoenix, and Washington DC metropolitan areas. Travel up to 80% time may be required.
SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $140,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. Also included is a full compliment of benefits including paid vacation, medical, dental, vision, disability insurance and life insurance.
