We provide custom gift card solutions for prepaid cards, loyalty and B2B applications and annually processes one billion transactions for 600 clients and their 580 million cardholders.The Technical Lead is responsible for leading the technical practices of a team of Application Developers. This position creates technical standards, mentors associates, performs code reviews, and provides day-to-day technical guidance to associates. The Technical Lead also participates in candidate screening for open positions, manages source code control, participates in all software design activities, and performs development tasks assigned by management. They will have responsibilities to create and maintain technical standards, such as coding standards, naming conventions, best practices, and tool selection. They will be responsible for reviewing all Technical Specification documents for adherence to technical standards, accuracy, and completeness and assume ownership of source code control, versioning, and management. This position will actively participate in software design efforts on projects and application enhancements and will participate in Production Application Support activities as needed, including root cause analysis. They will also keep management informed of technical issues with the applications they support.Qualifications:Must have a minimum of seven years experience with Java, Java Server Pages, J2EE, JavaScript, HTML, and XML. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with relational databases and SQL. Experience with DB2 UDB is a plus. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organization, analytical, and technical skills. The Technical Lead must be detail-oriented, accurate, well-organized, analytical, and experienced in software development best practices. The individual should also have a strong working knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) or similar project methodology. Strong professional presentation and public speaking skills are required to lead meetings and give presentations to management and team members.
