The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating/modifying all web-based technical documentation related to SevOne’s Network Performance Management product. The technical documentation is used by Network Engineers (end-users) at client sites.Responsibilities: Develop/modify/implement and maintain all existing web-based end-user documentation sets, involving highly technical material, under limited supervision. Work closely with the Development/Support and QA team to fully understand SevOne’s product to develop effective technical documentation Help to identify and implement standards and process improvements Participate in software QA initiatives to assist with the testing process, but also become more familiar with the product features   Strong Technical Writing experience for a web-based B2B software product required - with experience developing (software) technical documentation for external clients; experience with multiple software tools desired Experience writing and editing technically oriented documents. Demonstrated experience with the management of documentation projects. Experience with working with Web pages. Requires strong technical background or a minimum in network concepts and protocols Ability to identify the significantly complex information needs of target audiences (Network Engineers), develop appropriate documentation plans, and manage the execution of those plans concurrently. Ability to work closely with technical professionals (Developers/Support/QA/Engineers), leveraging common information in the development of complementary documentation Must be self-motivated and work under limited or no supervision Experience producing well formatted and well presented documents Ability to understand and explain technical details clearly to technical people and non-technical people alike Must have experience or the desire to work in a start-up software company where limited processes are present Must have the desire to learn SevOne’s application and its features/functionality Degreed professional required QA background/experience a plus Developing marketing content a plus
