Our customers rely on NAVTEQ digital map information for use in their applications based on its accuracy, detail and completeness.   Technical Writer/TrainerSummaryUnder minimal supervision, edit – create – and maintain business systems training initiatives. Act as subject matter expert for cross functional teams throughout the organization (i.e. PeopleSoft, Development, Web, etc.).  Implement training modules with high level of creativity, strong technical acumen, and create/mold training department for future needs.  Specific Responsibilities- Responsible for course development, presentation delivery, and training material- Responsible for the development of user and training guides (technical and departmental)- Responsible for effective and efficient gathering of requirements- Will potentially assist in the creative development of the Training Department for the long term growth and initiatives of the organization- Must have ability to work independently with minimal supervision- Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of business teams, internally and external vendors- Strong training and technical background required- Flexibility, initiative, and drive are the key components to success- As part of the Business Systems team, will assist in the support of PS Finance and PS HR  Requirements- Bachelors degree required- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint a must)- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Visio is ideal- SnagIt proficiency a plus- PeopleSoft 8.0 a plus- Knowledge of Adobe products a plus: Acrobat, Captivate- Minimum 4 years employment experience in Technical Writing/Training   NAVTEQ is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer M/F/D/V JOB TITLE: Technical Writer/Trainer COMPANY: NAVTEQ LOCATION: IL 60606 STATUS: Full Time, Employee JOB CATEGORY: Education/Training CAREER LEVEL: Experienced (Non-Manager) REFERENCE CODE: 10022
