The Opportunity

We have an immediate opening for a Territory Manager to serve our customers throughout eastern Louisiana. In this role you’ll be responsible for maintaining existing customer relationships as well as developing new business. This territory enjoys a solid existing customer base with tremendous individual growth potential for the candidate who possesses strong skills in forging new relationships. 

 

The Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in a sales role plus an excellent current working knowledge of general construction/heavy industrial equipment that perhaps was gained in a retail selling environment with an equipment distributor or through rental sales. Your interest must not lie strictly with making the sale but in real, honest relationship building with your customers.  If we ask them about you, they’ll call you a friend.

You’ll be a highly motivated, energetic sales professional with exceptional communication and presentation skills. The ability to meet or exceed goals without ever sacrificing integrity is of key importance at Ritchie Bros., where closing a deal comes secondary to developing and maintaining honest customer relationships.

Our Territory Managers enjoy the opportunity to come off the road for a bit to attend our auction sales throughout our South Central Sales Division and meet their customers and co-workers and to do something different a few times a year. 

Travel of 12 nights away each month on average will be required to cover this territory.
