Test Systems Engineer

Description:  Responsible for planning, participating in execution, analyzing, and reporting all aspects of assigned test programs. Assists in the development of test plans in conjunction with Test Officers and customers. Receives assignments from government Test Engineering Team Leader. Reviews test item specifications and determines test needs, including instrumentation requirements, safety and security requirements, number of samples, and test methodology. Participates in test conduct and personally observes testing, as required. Monitors test item performance. Analyzes test data and prepares final test report outlining results, including problem areas revealed during the test and making recommendations concerning the test item. Involved in the complete test process with federal agencies, developers, private industry, various DoD organizations, and friendly foreign governments. Skills:  Pay Rate: NegotiableMandatory Qualifications: Must be a US citizen. Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline, physical science, or advanced mathematics from an accredited college or university. Must have strong Microsoft Office skills – especially Word, Power Point, and Excel. Must have experience collecting, reducing, and/or analyzing data. Must have experience working successfully in a high pressure, high stress environment. Must have strong desire and ability to quickly learn local test methodologies and goals. Must have excellent problem solving skills. Must have the ability to work in a high-energy, team-oriented, rapidly changing environment. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance prior to hire date. Must have the ability to work long hours for extended periods of time, often with short notice and in severe outdoor weather conditions. Must have strong customer satisfaction skills. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screeningDesired Qualifications Current DoD security clearance at the Secret or Top Secret level. Minimum of 2 years experience working in a related field. Experience writing test plans. Experience using MATLAB. Experience working with DoD test agencies
