Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice offers companies professional transaction experience. We help clients determine the right deal to do, and then assist them in doing the deal right. Within TAS, our Valuation team helps clients understand the value of their business, their securities, intellectual property, capital equipment, real estate, intangibles, and other assets. We currently have a career opportunity for a Valuation Manager in Capital Equipment.ResponsibilitiesServe as a member of multiple client engagement teams. Manage business valuations for management planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring and reorganization, and corporate strategy. Identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed. Assume a leadership role in report generation and detailed financial modeling. Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with clients. Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, mentor others, stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client's business, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided. To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, business, finance or accounting with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or 4 years with a MBA or other relevant advanced degree) with a venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, or national valuation firm or experience in the valuation practice of an accounting firm achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA; ASA/AM designations in machinery and technical specialties an engineering aptitude combined with financial and analytical skills to provide technical valuation services the ability to manage project expenditures against budget and revenue, and provide sound guidance to team members to ensure the completion of work deliverables excellent analytical, project management, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills PC proficiency including MS Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPointThis position also requires domestic and international travel, as necessary.
