Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice offers companies professional transaction experience. We help clients determine the right deal to do, and then assist them in doing the deal right. Within TAS, Transaction Support services encompass the strategic development and execution of an appropriate transaction structure, including the execution of financial due diligence. Our team works to understand profit drivers and trends, challenge assumptions of future performance, and assist with purchase agreements and post-closing transaction matters. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Manager in our Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) team, which provides insight into a proposed transaction by evaluating the consistency of the transaction with overall strategy; assessing attractiveness of potential targets in comparison with industry peers and buyers' investment rationale; and analyzing various external factors (e.g., market, competitor, and customer) to understand the achievability of the target's revenue forecast. The practice provides our clients with detailed, robust analysis to allow for informed decision making on whether to proceed on the transaction. The CDD team serves primarily private equity firms and strategic buyers (e.g., corporations). Responsibilities Play a leadership role in helping grow the North American Commercial Due Diligence practice.Lead business development activities in a key channel within TAS. Design and execute analyses on target companies and/or markets for the purpose of validating key assumptions and drivers. Design and facilitate in-depth interview programs with key company stakeholders (i.e., customers, suppliers, business partners).Lead/manage projects from initial data collection and analysis to creating final client deliverables that meet E&Y quality standards.Develop and maintain relationships with clients at appropriate levels and other E&Y TAS teams.To qualify, candidates must have: a MBA from a top-tier business school 10+ years of experience, primarily in strategy development, market research, or other analytical disciplines a keen ability to make detailed analysis of industries including products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis and the ability to link findings to deal issues and revenue projections excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills strong written and verbal communication skills The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel, when necessary.
