Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice offers companies professional transaction experience. We help clients determine the right deal to do, and then assist them in doing the deal right. Within TAS, our Valuation group helps clients understand the value of their business, their securities, intellectual property, capital equipment, real estate, intangibles, and other assets. E&Y Valuation is comprised of several key areas, including Business Valuation and Capital Equipment. We currently have a career opportunity for a TAS Senior - Valuation - Financial Modeling to join our talented and team-oriented group. Responsibilities Serve as a member of multiple client engagement teams, performing financial modeling valuations for management planning; mergers and acquisitions; tax and financial reporting; and shareholder disputes. Identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed. Actively contribute to report generation and detailed financial modeling. Maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships with client personnel and colleagues. Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members; stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client's business; and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided. To qualify, candidates must have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field 2 years of relevant experience in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, strategy, and financial research 12 months of relevant experience would be acceptable for those holding a relevant graduate degree strong financial modeling skills; the ability to create financial models based on clients strategic financial business plans excellent analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and teaming skills ability to manage project expenditures against budget and revenue ability to provide sound guidance to team members to ensure the completion of work deliverables PC proficiency including MS Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPointThe successful candidate must be committed to staying at the cutting edge of financial and accounting standards.
