Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist

Overview:

 

Triplefin is a third-party outsourcing company.  This position is responsible for data management and order creation activities for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs. Ensure all customer orders are created and managed for accuracy, fulfillment, and on time delivery, while minimizing cost and meeting customer needs. Support daily activities of Customer Service team to balance caseload and ensure all timelines are met. 

 

Job Specific Responsibilities:Utilize Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) software to create and release customer orders, and maintain system ordering Primary communicator with sales on promotional events, inventory changes, and orders with customer and/or brokers, warehouses, & transportation Maintain order management and data entry Address customer requests Develop and utilize business reports to assist in forecasting business needs Understand and promote supply chain efficiencies and continuous improvement

Qualifications:VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Software experience is required - no exceptions! Strong background in order processing, and forecasting needed Min of 2 years exp in supply chain or customer service related field Proven analytical skills, problem solving abilities, and time management skills Excellent keyboarding and order processing skillsMust have excellent oral and written communication skills, and a professional attitude 4 year degree in Logistics or related field preferred, but not required
