Our company has been retained to identify a senior IT management professional responsible for the design, development, and support of new mission critical business platform. Our client is a fast growing and large company offering a great professional work environment as well as the opportunity for advancement.

 

You will be considered the “Chief Architect” and in this role you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for all design and development efforts as they pertain to the creation of a new infrastructure to support a complex array of bleeding edge applications and databases.  You will have as many as 15 subordinates, including developers, engineers, DBA’s, etc.

 

Duties will include:

 Staff and Project ManagementInterface with IT and business managementDesign a new cutting edge infrastructure environmentMake decisions on the future and direction of systems and application development efforts Help to set internal and external strategy through implementation of best practices and new techniques Work closely with other IT teams to ensure that the proper resources are being utilized Interact with development team members to keep them motivated and up to date on strategy Manage internal and external consultants/vendors as needed.



The ideal candidate will have the following skills and credentials:

 Significant experience managing a large scale infrastructure environmentSignificant experience designing and developing platforms that support mission critical applications and systems Strong UNIX experience is MANDATORYExpert knowledge of development processes using Java and Oracle technologiesSignificant architecture and IT engineering experience is MANDATORYBachelor’s Degree in MIS, Masters/MBA preferred 15+ years working within the IT space Must be a great leader and able to keep a staff motivated and happyPrevious IT management experience is necessary (not looking for just a PM)
