Vice President, Research, Enabling Technologies

Position Overview:

Our expertise spans the technologies creating communications change, and the regions and industries affected by that transformation.

The Yankee Group seeks a Vice President to manage research focused on communications and media network and service delivery infrastructure. The incumbent will possess management and leadership experience and strong expertise and and interest in technical analysis, assessment, and strategy development within the communications and media marketplace. The Yankee Group’s Enabling Technologies team conducts extensive primary research within the communications and media markets, and provides thought leadership to clients ranging from media companies, technology vendors, communication companies, and the financial community.

Qualifications:

·  15+ years experience working in, or writing about, the communications and media industry with a strong focus on the underpinning technologies

·  Strong management experience

·  Exceptional and proven analytical written communication skills

·  Dynamic public speaker

·  Extensive experience discoursing with senior-level executives on wireless strategies

·  Significant experience interacting with enterprises/Global 1000 organizations

·  Prior research and advisory experience preferred

·  Experience in wireless and radio communications desired

·  Extensive press contacts and market exposure
