Develop, direct and manage the flow of high-level business content for the industry sector sites of ey.com/us, as well as other digital assets such as webcasts, podcasts, Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds, video scripts, etc. This individual will also be instrumental in managing and directing an external web writing agency that delivers content for ey.com, including making recommendations and evaluating publishing plans developed by the agency. The writer/editor will also work closely with the Publishing Technology and Implementation (PTI) team to leverage digital assets on ey.com as appropriate. Responsible for developing and maintaining a strategic voice for communications aimed at a global business audience. Responsibilities Collaborate with senior leadership in Industry Centers to recommend a strategic delivery process for posting web content. Make sound editorial judgment calls based on feedback from senior leadership. Balance a diverse portfolio of assignments and be able to prioritize schedules to meet urgent deadlines. Write promotional web copy for industry publications, services and events. Repurpose copy for placement in website newsletters and RSS feeds. Evaluate effectiveness of existing online content and other digital assets. Aggregate relevant content from other sources and tailor it for presentation on the web to target audiences. Direct and work closely with content publisher to achieve optimum usability and develop Return on Investment (ROI) tracking. Implement an efficient system for proofing post-production pages. Manage the content review process required to post on ey.com. Identify U.S. content that is relevant to an international audience and direct U.S. content publisher to notify ey.com global content publishers. Stay abreast of industry standards and technologies to ensure effective content placement, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and ROI tracking. Maintain and update in-depth knowledge of firm products, services, strategies and operations. Apply that knowledge in developing high-quality content. Demonstrate an understanding and application of principles and practices of writing and editing. The incumbent acts as a business advisor to clients, project managers, and other project requesters on the most effective approaches and methods of implementation to achieve their strategic goals. The incumbent should possess the ability to: rapidly solve problems, recognize potential issues and make decisions throughout a project that balance the need to meet a deadline and still meet the original requirements of the project, identify opportunities for repurposing content for additional audiences or to add convenience for the consumption of the message by the target audience. Ability to develop and influence productive relationships across a very diverse internal client base. Strong team orientation and a flexible working style.
