Accounting Supervisor/Manager

Daikin America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd of Osaka, Japan. Daikin is Japan’s leading manufacturer of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, and fluorochemical products. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Responsible for cash management and treasury functions.  Supervise Accounts Payable.  Assist in planning, administering and managing various accounting functions in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as generally accepted accounting practices. Interface with the banking community, internal departments and our plant facility. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1)  Responsible for daily cash management including:

a)  Daily cash position

b)  Rollovers of short term debt

c) Processing wire transfers

d)  Funding bank accounts

e)  Foreign exchange transactions

f)  Maintaining banking relationships and corporate resolutions

g)  Letter of credit processing

h) Short term and long term cash flows

 

2)  Supervising Accounts Payable personnel

a)  Adage Business Process Owner of Accounts Payable

b)  Oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable operations

c) Review various account analyses and reports on a monthly basis

d)  Look for ways to continuously improve procedures and tighten internal controls

3)  Preparation of Segmented financial reporting

 

4)  Responsible for tax filings, payments, and electronic registration

5)  Responsible for G-One reconciliation and Inter-company analysis

6)  Any other activity assigned by management

 EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

 

1. At least a bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university/college.

2. 7-10 years of accounting experience

3. Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Accounting
