Application Development Leader

Position Overview:
· Application Development Leader will be responsible for running the America's Elastomers ADC. The position will report to the America's Application Development Manager.
· This position will work closely with the internal Elastomers leadership team to develop the ADC into a worldclass center for technical development and design for LSR and HCR
· This position will interface with external customers to help solve technical issues as well as prototyping new applications.
· The position will have significant involvement in launch new materials and processes into the marketplace.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
· The day to day operation within the ADC.
· Rubber tool design
· Executing Design of experiments
· Material characterization
· Running ADC machines and reporting results
· New machine and process development
· Solving customers problems with respect to processing

Required Education and Professional Qualifications:
· B.S. Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or B.A. in Chemistry preferred or significant experience in the Silicone rubber industry.

Required Work Experience:
· Minimum 3 to 5 years manufacturing or technical experience in the Silicone rubber industry in which there was responsibility for rubber processing of LSR and / or HCR.
· Process engineering background preferred.
· Knowledge of HCR and LSR tooling design and operation.
· Ability to set-up, perform and analyze design of experiments with respect to rubber processing.
· Knowledge and experience with rubber injection molding machines and rubber extrusion equipment.

Required Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge:
· In debt knowledge of LSR and HCR processing equipment.
· Ability to perform Design of experiments.
· Experience in running LSR and HCR equipment.
