Associate Accountant – Consolidations & Reporting

 

GenTek, Inc is a technology-driven manufacturer of performance chemicals and industrial components.  We are currently seeking an individual for the position of Associate Accountant in our Corporate Headquarters in Parsippany, New Jersey.  In this role, you will be part of the Consolidations & Reporting group which is responsible for maintaining corporate financial records and preparing audited financial statements and SEC filings. 

 

 Duties and Responsibilities

1.  Prepare monthly Balance Sheet account analysis and correcting entries as needed.

2.  Prepare bank account reconciliations.

3.  Prepare intercompany analysis and create intercompany invoices.

4.  Prepare and post month end journal entries.

5.  Complete month-end, quarterly, and year-end reports as required.

6.  Participate in quarterly and year-end audits.

7.  Participate in SOX 404 compliance and testing.

8.  Works on special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

 

B.S. in Accounting required.  One plus years of experience preferred.

 

Must be detail oriented and highly motivated.  Knowledge of SAP a plus.  Proficient computer and software skills (Word, Excel, etc.) required along with good written and oral communication skills.

 

No relocation currently available for this position.
