BP is among the world leaders in the production of oil, gas, refined, petrochemical and alternative energy products.  Our Texas City Chemical plant employs around 240 people manufacturing a variety of key chemicals used by other BP sites.  BP Texas City Chemical is currently seeking Instrumentation and Electrical Technicians and Machinists/Millwrights.

 

Instrument & Electrical Technician

Minimum requirements:

· 4 + years Instrumentation and Electrical experience in a plant/manufacturing environment – OR

· Journeyman Electrician Certificate – OR

· 4 year Electrical Apprentice Program Completion Certificate – OR

· 2 years Military training in a related field – OR

· Associates Degree in Instrument Technology or related field

Machinist/Millwright

Minimum requirements:

· Associates degree in machinist craft – OR

· Completion of recognized Apprenticeship Program – OR

· Minimum of 2 years military training in a related field – OR

· 4 years of machinist experience

 

All positions require a high school diploma or equivalent. If selected for hire, employment will be contingent upon submission to and successful completion of a post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, including a hair test for which BP must be able to obtain a sufficient hair sample for analysis (~4 cm/1 ½” scalp, > 2 cm/¾“body – arms & armpits/legs/chest) & background check.  BP Texas City Chemicals offers a competitive wage and benefits package and a safe, healthy, and professional work environment.
