Business Development Manager

 

 

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

 

· Meet or exceed the company’s safety standards

q Operate personal, rental, or company vehicles in a safe and lawful manner

q Observe all safety rules and environmental regulations at company and customer locations

 

· Manage ALHAC business opportunities for assigned projects regarding acquisition opportunities, existing product refinement, and new product/services offers:

q Working with internal and external personnel to identify, validate, and prepare well-qualified acquisition opportunities in line with ALHAC strategy.

q Analyze acquisition projects from an financial, economic, operations, HR, and legal perspective

q Develop and present acquisition projects to senior management for approval

q Lead project team for acquisitions to a successful conclusion

q Prepare and present well-developed products (existing and new) proposals that meet customer expectations and ALHAC’s business objectives

q Demonstrate an advanced understanding of the business drivers for ALHAC

q Follow the established guidelines outlined by the corporate Acquisitions group

 

· Develop extensive working relationships in order to maximize opportunities:

q Develop relationships with potential acquisition candidates to open up opportunities for the short and long-term timeframes

q Share knowledge and experiences with peers through communication on market changes and activity

q Support the Region and Marketing Managers in their product/business development initiatives

q Develop fruitful internal relationships with Operations, Finance, HR, Legal and Executive Management

q Develop a trust and respect relationship(s) with our management by presenting all the issues relating to assigned project along with knowledgeable recommendation

 

 

General Requirements:

 

· Skill Set/Knowledge/Expertise

q Technical

§ Experience in deal/transaction construction to include financial, tax, operational  and legal aspects

§ Strong ability to conceptualize ideas to management

§ Strong ability to recognize and develop product and service opportunities

§ Extensive, broad, industry experience in Healthcare/Medical Gases and/or industrial gases

 

q Business Development

§ In depth knowledge of customers and current target markets

§ 8-10 years experience in business development roles in a healthcare environment

§ Free-thinking, innovative, and adaptable attitude toward deal solutions

§ Ability to function in a highly decentralized team environment with minimal internal structure and extensive flexibility

§ Ability to formalize business relationships and projects through strong negotiation and contract development

§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

§ Ability to lead project development teams consisting of personnel from many groups ( Operations, Finance, HR, Sales and Marketing) to successful conclusion

§ Strong skills related to determining customers requirements and recognizing specific project improvement opportunities

 

q Financial

§ Theoretical/practical business and financial knowledge generally associated with an MBA or comparable experience

§ Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform and/or evaluate complex project economics

 

q Management Skills

§ An ability to interface in a diplomatic manner with a broad range of people up to, and including, Board level.

§ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage conflict

 

· Physical Requirements

q Light lifting

q Ability to travel as needed

 

· Educational Requirements

q Bachelor Degree (preferably in engineering, finance/accounting), or equivalent

q Master of Business Administration, or equivalent experience (preferred)
