Chemical Engineering Site Manager - Milwaukee, WI

The Chemical Engineering Site Manager will coordinate the activities for Haas at a major Brewery in Milwaukee, ensure excellent service from tier II suppliers, oversee purchasing activities and respond to customer needs and issues. The Site Manager is accountable for delivering program profitability while at the same time delighting the customer.

Individual responsibilities include:Maintaining a positive image for Haas with our customers, while demonstrating high standards of business ethics and integrity.  Ensuring optimum performance of the Chemical Management Program by recommending  and implementing actions to improve productivity, increase effectiveness and reduce costs. Acting within the scope of authority and remains consistent with Haas objectives,  guidelines, policies and practices. Consistently demonstrating the ability of Haas to provide value to the customer. Developing solutions arising from emergency situations. Determining appropriate inventory and service levels, plans or approves corrective action or  process changes as required. Responding to customer requests regarding products, projects, information and other inquiries. Acting as site ISO coordinator. Reviewing monthly site financial information and takes or recommends appropriate action. Insuring all program reports are submitted correctly and in a timely manner to both internal and external customers. Participating in monthly chemical management meetings (requested by customer) Promoting and ensuring effective communication with Haas corporate personnel and with customer personnel Representing Operations on a system wide basis with the continual development of Best Practices and Knowledge Sharing Initiatives.



Requirements


Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 Developing, training, monitoring and motivating a staff capable of delivering daily value, while playing a key role in meeting all Chemical Management Program Goals. Keeping abreast of customer needs and practices affecting the Chemical Management program and communicates pertinent information to the staff. Coordinating activities related to projects requested by the customer or identified by Haas site staff members; maintaining project list; assigning Haas personnel to projects Promoting and ensuring effective communication and teamwork among staff and customers. Promoting and assisting in development of Tier II suppliers, oversees their technical activities and ensures they are meeting the needs of Haas and our customer.

Education and Experience

 Bachelor degree, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or something similar. Minimum three years experience working in chemicals management Food and Beverage experience helpful Must possess the ability to express ideas clearly, orally and in writing.
