Contract Administator

Johnson Matthey - Tracerco is the established indusstry leader in the field of developing advanced technologies for field inspections and process data measurement, as well as the application of the data to provide solutions for refinery and chemcial operations.

We are seeking a Part-time Contract Administrator for the Houston, TX office.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The primary function of this position will involve the coordination of contract negotiations between Johnson Matthey and a variety of customers within the Petrochemical, Refining and Oil & Gas industries to satisfy Johnson Matthey and customer contract needs. In addition, the candidate will manage pre-qualification requirements for new customers and the regular review of existing contracts to ensure ongoing compliance with corporate policy.

 

Liaising with Johnson Matthey North America Corporate Law and Risk Departments in Wayne, PA, the candidate will amend customer terms and conditions, discuss the amendments directly with customer representatives and secure agreements. Guidance and support will be provided by relevant legal, risk group and Tracerco staff as required.

 

TRAINING, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

This position requires the candidate to possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in related field.  Also, holding a paralegal or legal assistant certificate would be ideal.  Experience in contract negotiation and administration and familiarity with risk and legal concepts, especially in the Refining, Petrochemical and / or Oil & Gas industries, is essential.  Experience working with customer purchasing departments and familiarity with service contracts will be beneficial.
