The Corrosion Sales Specialist leads the development of new business opportunities for the corrosion solutions portfolio of products and services. The position provides technical sales support to the Honeywell sales channels. Works closely with the Honeywell Process Solutions Account Manager and Field Solutions Territory Account Manager to develop the sales plan for the assigned region. Assists in the identification and qualification of sales opportunities for corrosion. Leads the pre-sales process including the initial customer presentation, preparation of all quotations and technical support leading to an order. Confers with customers to evaluate plant operational problems and provides problem-solving strategies, methodologies and solutions including products, systems, advanced applications and services. Achieves the annual sales plan for the assigned region. Works closely with the customer to capture and quantify the resulting benefits of the installed solution. Provides this information in the form of a success story that can be used to refine value propositions, distributed as sales tools and provided as customer references. Trains Honeywell direct and indirect sales channels on corrosion products, systems, advanced applications and services. Knowledge and Experience RequiredExcellent interpersonal skills to interface directly with customers and develop solutions to their corrosion and equipment reliability problems Five (5) to ten (10) years experience in corrosion control, material selection, plant asset reliability and/or related fields within the process industries (e.g. refining, oil & gas, chemical, power generation). Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) with preference given to a major in Materials, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Corrosion Science.
