Customer Service / Sales Representative

About the Company & Position:
NanoAmor, a small nanotechnology company, is seeking a full-time customer service / sales representative. We are located in west Houston and sell advanced nanomaterials: carbon nanotubes, nanofibers, nanoparticles and dispersions. Daily Duties:
The customer service / sales representative will tackle a variety of challenges:Effectively communicate with customers via phone, e-mail and fax. This will include both pre-sale and post-sale support, by answering sales questions as well as availability and shipping logistics questions. Processing of purchase orders using an online e-commerce system, managing backorders, and organizing the shipping staffs’ priorities and queue. Help manage a marketing campaign that includes online search marketing (e.g., Google Adwords) as well as advertisements in print magazines and in trade shows.

 

Qualifications:
Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, are required. Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment are essential. Must be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced working environment, and be flexible for the varied duties of a small company. Works well without supervision and accepts responsibility. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat. Optional: previous sales or technical work experience is a plus. Optional: basic coursework in one of the following areas -- chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science and engineering, physics, metallurgy or a similar area -- is a plus.
