BASF is proud to be an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.This position is to provide customers of BASF refinish products assistance in obtaining correct color information and color formulas in the English and Spanish language.  This often involves obtaining information which is not readily available, such as ancillary colors or very recently matched colors.  Additionally, the position acts as a liaison between the customer and color laboratory, processing color requests and returning the completed formula to the customer.  The incumbent may also be asked to provide some tinting and matching advise to our customers.  Some special projects, such as researching, acquiring and assembling color information from internal and external sources, may also be required.  Additionally, providing reports and KPI results may also be necessary.The incumbent needs to have proper telephone etiquette, and be able to handle customer concerns and complaints in a thoughtful and effective manner.  It is necessary to have basic computer skills in the MS-Office suite.  The incumbent will be required to learn BASF color information software.  The understanding of color information as it pertains to OEM automobile manufacturers is an asset.The ability to speak French, in addition to the required English and Spanish, is a definite advantage.  Preference will also be given to those familiar with BASF Automotive refinish coatings.  A high school diploma or GED is also necessary, and any post secondary education in chemistry is an advantage as is previous experience in customer service.
