Desktop Support / Altiris Admin

The Columbus Office of Apex Systems, Inc. is looking for a Desktop Support Technician / Altiris Administrator for 3 months to permanent position in Marysville, OH

 

General Functions

 

- Provides daily administration functions for Altiris solutions
- Work closely with Desktop Technicians to ensure user client needs are being serviced in a timely fashion
- Assist in new project implementation under the direction of Management
- Carry out routine maintenance and systems upkeep
- Responsible for completion of daily, weekly, and monthly reports

- Responsible for software application packaging and delivery

- Responsible for image maintenance

Required Skills

Ability to create and implement procedures and processes to execute standard daily administration for Altiris computing systems.

Knowledge and ability to manage Altiris Notification Server with dependent solutions, including, but not limited to:
-Inventory Solution
-Application Management
-Carbon Copy
-Patch Management
-Software Delivery
-Knowledge and ability to manage Altiris Deployment Server
-Must be able to create and maintain hardware independent image
-Must have working knowledge of Wise Package Studio
-Must be able to take direction from the management staff to execute the mission of the -department
-Strong written/verbal communication skills, a strong customer service mentality, and demonstrated organizational skills are a must
