Symrise, “where Science and Sensation meet,” is the world's 4th largest manufacturer of flavors, fragrances and cosmetic & aroma ingredients.  We are seeking a candidate with experience preparing EH&S policies & procedures and conducting EH&S audits to assist in establishing and maintaining Symrise’s EH&S program for North America.

 

Candidate will assist in all areas of EH&S including training, preparing reports, and conducting safety/environmental audits. You will assist with evaluating dangerous goods for shipment, implement safety orientation training for employees & emergency response plans for the facilities, develop programs for regulatory reporting and evaluate hazardous materials for ADR/ RID, IMDG-Code, IATA (Passenger/Cargo) & 49 CFR-Road designation and packaging.

 

Position requires a BA/BS in a relevant discipline, 3-5 years of EH&S experience in the chemical industry, preferably in flavors and/or fragrances, knowledge of dangerous goods & MSDS regulations, basic statistics and computer software (MS Word, SAP, Lotus Notes) and strong interpersonal skills.
