Electrical Apparatus Manufacturing Supervisor/Oilfield Industrial Journeyman Electrician
Growing oilfield electrical switchgear manufacturing company located in Pearland, Texas has an excellent opportunity for a Supervisor, Manufacturing/Operations Support-Field Service.
Overview: Salary is DOE. We offer excellent compensation and benefit programs. This position is open only to candidates eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship through the company. Work would entail installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of electrical apparatus used in drilling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work from blueprints, specifications, schematics, process sheets and verbal instructions to assemble, install, test or repair electrical switchgear, drive systems, motor control centers, transformers and other electrical equipment in power control houses utilized in oilfield drilling rigs.
· Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct mechanical and electrical problems in systems.
· Perform final system tests and maintain records.
· Develop and document work instructions and procedures. Interface with engineering, product management, quality and field service in solving and correcting problems.
Experience Needed:
· Requires knowledge of computers, using Windows operating systems.
· Knowledge of the installation of circuit boards and other components into a computer system is required.
· Requires the use of hand tools in drilling, tapping, filing and reaming to assemble components.
· Requires the use of multimeter and/or oscilloscope to diagnose electrical problems.
· Must be able to troubleshoot to component level.
· Prefer candidates with Journeyman Certification and have some Industrial Journeyman Electrician experience in oilfield industry.
· Minimum of 4 years mechanical experience with industrial equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, pulleys, etc.) that includes: a working knowledge and understanding of moving and rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes and conveyors, from an operations and maintenance perspective, mechanically and electrically.
· Journeyman level ability to read, understand, and apply information from technical manuals and other reference materials.
· Ability to work in a team with high regard for safety and environmental concerns and with a strong commitment to policies.
· Effective in written, verbal, and communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company.
· Demonstrate computer skills in Window environment with experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
· Valid state driver's license.
