Clariant is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill an Electrical / Instrumentation Engineer position at its Clear Lake, Texas facility.  Prior experience in the Chemicals and/or Refinery industries is required.  A good working knowledge of one or more operating units from previous experience is a highly favored.

 

Applicants must have the following:

 

ü  Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

ü  A minimum of five (5) years experience supporting process operations in the field of electrical engineering with a strong focus on instrumentation.  Background in process control is desirable.

ü  Minimum five (5) years of capital project experience on projects with a total installed cost of $1,000,000 or more.

ü  Working knowledge of Industrial Power Distribution systems and equipment.

 

Additional Experience:

 

ü  A strong knowledge of in-process design, instrumentation, and process control.

ü  Basic knowledge of NEC and other Applicable codes.

ü  Continuous process and/or continuous production knowledge.

ü  Demonstrated expense and project cost control.

ü  Design of electrical equipment for Hazardous locations.
