This is the job for you...What will you be doing? - Manage EHS&S programs to enforce regulations and to provide assistance to the plant in reducing risks and accidents. - Lead the implementation of environmental policies and practices and waste reduction activities. - Establish team performance standards. - Implement PSM, RMP, CFATS, and OSHA regulations and standards, including guidance on handling OSHA, EPA,DHS and DEC compliance, inspections. - Investigate any injuries in conjunction with team leaders and staff personnel. - Assess new developments in EHS&S activities that may have application to the plant's operations. - Responsible for overseeing the environmental programs including waste disposal with RCRA training, operation, air permitting, water discharges and groundwater monitoring. - Responsible for maintaining the facility RC-14001 certifications. - Act as RC14001 management representative.What do you need for this job? - Minimum BS in Environmental Science, Safety Management or related field - 10+ years experience in Safety/Environmental Manufacturing Industry. - Must have knowledge of all Federal and State EHS&S Laws and regulations. - Working knowledge of cGMP in a FDA regulated environment - A background in a chemical process manufacturing industry. - Ability to influence the organization to accomplish environmental and safety and health objectives - A demonstrated commitment to a participative work environment.
